Best Property Services Land Department has been keeping the wheels turning during lockdown with four virtual land Auctions. Thirty acres of land at Red Lion Road, Loughgall attracted three bidders and reached a figure in excess of £50,000 pounds above the guide price and was acquired by a local landowner.
An exceptional Lakeview building site overlooking Camlough Lake also attracted three bidders. Whilst the scenic site currently remains unsold with a current offer of £150,000 pounds, there has been a number of interested parties making enquiries since the auction and we are confident further offers will be forthcoming as this type of site only comes along every 25 years or more.
Also in the Camlough area, development land with planning consent for 6 dwellings was pursued by two bidders to a figure in excess of £300k and a contract signed that day. The 4th virtual auction involved 30 acres in the Tullylish area of Gilford in Co.Down. This was available in two lots and sold to two separate buyers at a total figure in excess of £315,000 pounds. One of the lots fronted the Tullylish road and the larger lot of 21 acres was accessible via a laneway off that road.
From the volume of enquiries during lockdown and demand for land remaining strong, the evidence would seem to indicate that land prices are not likely to be adversely affected by Covid-19.
